What a location! Lovely job restoring the gable of this Dorset cottage with chalk lime mortars to help remedy internal rising damp. All cement removed and replaced with traditional chalk lime mortar (and flint this time instead of concrete infill 😊?

Lime plaster completed on this lovely old cottage in Dorset, installed on gauged chalk quicklime scratch coats. The fireplace had been blocked in after many adaptions in its life and covered with plastic tanking - chalk clunch not loving that 😬 #cob
Cottage we recently lime rendered after removing cement renders which weren’t allowing the cob to breath. The ‘slate’ weatherproof plinth has gone replaced with lime pointing allowing the base of the cottage to breath as well #lime
